Ballaram Hanumandas Charitable Trust, the promoter of BRCM educational Institutions in Bahal was established at Kolkata in the year 1977 with the primary objective of social upliftment and educational development in Bahal and the surrounding 100 odd villages.

It was the most earnest desire of our family that we translate the dream of our beloved father Late Chhogmal Chaudhary into reality. Our father, himself was a religious person blended with a modern approach- a great visionary to establish educational institutions in his native village at Bahal.

My grandfather Late Ballaramji Chaudhary was also a renowned social reformer of his time and carried a philanthropic vision for the upliftment of all sections of the society irrespective of caste, creed and economical standing in Bahal. His appetite for acquiring useful knowledge and virtue instituted him as a role model which always inspires us to work for the social cause.

Ballaram Hanumandas Charitable Trust since its inception has established and is running successfully illustrious educational institutions under the aegis of BRCM Educational Society, namely

BRCM Public School Gyankunj (A day school established in 1987)
BRCM Public School Vidyagram (A residential boys school since 1989)
BRCM College of Engineering & Technology (A residential College since 1999)

The Trust took the initiative and revived Manav Kalyan Hospital in the year 2006 to meet the medical needs of people of Bahal and surrounding villages as there were no proper medical facilities available in the nearby areas. The hospital provides both indoor and outdoor services, and is equipped with modern equipment backed by an expert team of medical specialists. The hospital also delivers various health related welfare services by organizing free eye campus, health check-up campus for the people of the area.In the direction of upliftment and rending different kinds of social services, the Trust has also created Sulabh Shauchalayas, Muktidham, Park & Children's Playground and Devi Mandir. In addition to the above, sporting events in the name of Chhogmal Chaudhary Gramin Khel Mahotsav is organized on 26th January every year. In the field of rural development, the Trust organizes skill development programmers, vocational training courses etc. on a regular basis.

The Future plan of the Trust is to open a full-fledged co-ed General Degree Course College to provide BBA, BCA, BA, B.Com and other degree courses; Management Institute; Vocational Training Institute; Para Medical Courses etc. It goes without saying that the Trust has been receiving continuous support from the people of Bahal and the surrounding villages in its mission to help the common people to lead a better life.

There are several other initiatives that the Trust plans to set up. We hope to enhance awareness and improve life through Eye, Dental, Diabetes and Cancer Campus; a health resort for the development of villages and towns; build a ML Bahalwala Dharamshala; establish a Public Library and Reading Room for all those who find books too expensive and continuous expansion of the college and school. One of the most ambitious plan is to turn BRCM into a university and establish a medical college in Bahal. Another challenging job is to make Bahal and its neighboring areas a total literate zone, where there will be no unemployment.

The poverty elevation drive in the country through economic growth requires competitive efficiency at all levels, with the highest level of competence to produce international quality products. All this can only be possible through Educational and Training.

Educational has acquired the highest importance everywhere and particularly so in our rural society. The educational methodology is changing to faster and better while delivering through Digital Gadgets, Internet, IT Practices and Satellite, and we are introducing all these new systems, so that BRCM Institutions become world class.

Development of our country's vast human resource will be possible only through education. In the competitive world of employability quality of learning is important.
