
CSR Initiatives of BRHD Charitable Trust, Bahal
Free School “Nanhe Kadam”: The BRHD Charitable Trust runs ‘Nanhe Kadam’, a free evening school from class I to VIII at BRCM Public School Gyankunj in which approximately 275 students of Bahal Village below the poverty line are getting free education. The Trust provides School Dress, Books & Stationaries, Tiffin, health care support, etc, free of cost to the students.
Manav Kalyan Hospital: Under the aegis of BRHD Charitable Trust ‘Manav Kalyan Hospital’, a charitable health care centre, is doing exemplary work for the service of common man. It provides health care facilities to the people of Bahal and its surrounding villages by specialist doctors including cheap medicines and other advance medical facilities. Its aim is not only to provide treatment at low cost but also provide surgical facilities for Eye, ENT. Pediatrics, Gynecological and other general ailments under one roof. IOl eye operation camp is being organized on regular basis on 15th of every month in which thousands of patients have been successfully operated for cataract. Apart from Eye Camp, on 10th of every month Diabetes camp is being organized at MKH. Beside this, many patients suffering from Gynecological, Cardiac, Diabetes, Cancer, Dental, ENT and other ailments gets benefit from specialized Medical camps which are organized by Trust. The Trust also provides free medicine to the underprivileged and organizes Blood Donation Camp in the Manav Kalyan Hospital from time to time.
NABARD & CAPART: BRHD Charitable Trust is also dedicated towards the development of Bahal Village and its adjoining area through various activities. With the support and Help of CAPART the Trust constructed 300 Toilets in the Bahal and adjoining areas. With the help of NABARD various govt. schemes are being implemented for the development and training of the villagers particularly of women. Vocational Training Courses for the youth and women are being conducted on regular basis in area like Carpentry, Electrician, Beauty Parlour, Welding, Tailoring, Cooking, Turner, etc. For the Growth and Development of Women, Trust with the support of NABARD has started Self Help Group (SHG) in which more than 1325 women and Men have become members of 104 SHGs which are operational. Bank accounts are being opened in different Banks and training is being provided from time to time to these women. Trust has also adopted Gokulpura & Budhri Villages as the model villages and all initiatives are being taken for its growth and development by the Trust. Trust is also operating 22 Kisan Clubs with more than 310 members under VDP program of NABARD in nearby Villages of Bahal.
Rajiv Gandhi Stadium: Trust also manages the sports infrastructure and sports activities at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Bahal which was handed over to Trust by the Haryana Govt. The Trust organizes Gramin Khel Mahotsav and other Sports activities on regular basis. Training and Coaching in games like Kabaddi, athletics, basketball, Volleyball, Judo etc are being organized by specialized coaches to promote sports in Bahal.
BRHD Trust also manages various facilities such as Bahal Public Park and Devi Mandir which is maintained by Trust. The Trust maintains ‘Muktidham’ a funeral centre into a peaceful oasis of bliss, solitude and greenery. The Trust provides help to Alakh Gaushala and provides scholarship to needy and very poor students. Ramachandra Mission was built by Trust to promote spiritualism and meditation in a highly effective way of realization of ultimate. Yoga and meditation Camp is being conducted from time to time. The Trust looks into to integrate the people of Bahal with creation of NGO’s and other social and cultural activities for all round development of the residents of Bahal.
BRHD Charitable Trust has also Adopted ITI, Bahal under PPP mode to provide managerial skill and technical skill support to improve the standard of the ITI. The trust also supports in terms of providing students facilities such as drinking water facilities, RO water treatment Plant facility, Computer literacy Training Facilities, Campus Landscaping supports, Development sports facilities etc to ITI Bahal.
Durga Bhawani Pahadi Mata Mandir: The Trust also manages Durga Bhawani Pahadi Mata Mandir at Bahal which was set up with the help of other Chaudhary families. This grand edifice was inaugurated in 2000 which is “ Kuldevi” of Chaudhary Family. In 2004, two more temple of Shri Hanumanji and Shri Ganeshji were added to the grand setting of the whole complex.
Support To Govt. Schools: In addition to providing technical and managerial skills to ITI Bahal, the Trust encourages and support other educational institutions/schools for growth to enable them to stand tall to compete with other renowned school/institutions in nearby vicinity. For this Trust extends its assistance to Govt. Schools in the vicinity by providing academic support in terms providing books, computers, furniture, sports goods, drinking water facility, etc from time to time.
New Initiatives of Trust
Smt. Urmila Chaudhary Dairy Farm
Keeping in mind health and need of our students, foundation stone for the Modern Dairy Farm Project was laid on 3rd October, 2013 in the name of Urmila Chaudhary Dairy Farm at Bahal under HKC Foundation with the latest Israeli technology. The Dairy was made operational in the month of June, 2014 with limited number of cows. Presently, it has 100 cows producing more than 1000 liters of milk per day. In another couple of years, we have a plan to have 150-200 cows and later on plan is to produce value added dairy products such as paneer, butter milk, ghee, etc to meet out the daily requirements of Annapurna Mess at Vidyagram Campus..
Horticulture Unit
To meet out our vegetable requirements for Annapurna Mess, we are now focusing more upon the Seasonal vegetable cultivation which is required on daily basis. A proper and systemized vegetable farming is being carried out and it is ensured that unused land under Trust must give the maximum vegetables and other required crops. A team of Experts from Rajasthan is looking after horticulture & farming unit. Trust is also planning to produce organic vegetables and medicinal plants in coming years. Vermiculture, tree plantation, nursery development etc. are also the part of Horticulture Unit.
Environmental Concern Activities:
The Trust is taking all initiatives to protect the environment and to save water and beauty of the nature.
Solar Power Plant:Various capacities of Solar Power plants are commissioned at different locations of the Vidyagram Campus which are maintained properly by the team of electricians under the supervision of Electrical Engineer. The Solar Power Plant provides uninterrupted pollution free power supply in Academic Blocks, Hostels and the Staff Quarters. Urmila Chaudhary Dairy Farm is completely running on 100 KW Solar Power Plant.
STP Plant: To control the water waste and reuse of Campus waste water STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) Plant is installed to meet the requirement to control the water waste in different areas in Vidyagram Complex. The Hostel Management is taking care to stop the water wastage in hostel and in many other areas such as Mess, Quarters, Canteen, Laundry etc. The STP treated water is being utilized in Horticulture Area and also for watering various lawns and playfield in BRCM Campus.
Rain Water Harvesting Pit: Measure has also been taken to save rain water by establishing rain water harvesting pits in the campus.
Tree Plantation Drive: For environmental protection and to maintain greenery in various campuses in Bahal, Trust takes Tree Plantation Drive every year in a big way where more than ten thousands trees are planted every year. In this highly polluted world of 21st Century, when the world is debating on climate change around the globe, we also showed our concern in preserving the eco system and protecting the climate. We focused on spreading greenery around the premises. Keeping that goal in mind, Trust takes initiative to plant thousands of trees and ornamental plants which are increasing the splendor of the landscape of the schools and colleges premises. Besides planting saplings in large numbers in our various campuses , Trust also distributes thousands of free saplings to Panchayat & Government Schools in and around Bahal during the plantation season.
The BRHD Charitable Trust all other educational ventures are class apart from other centres of learning, providing value-based education of global standards along with various above mentioned CSR work. The BRHD Charitable Trust shares a great Indian dream - a dream of a new tomorrow where technological advancement would go hand in hand with intellectual development in laying the corner stone of a spiritually evolved new age Indian; one who would stand tall to face global challenges to etch India’s place in the annals of international progress.
